Purple faux dichroic glass style polymer clay pendant

Product Code: 22186f
Black and purple rectangular polymer clay pendant, created by me to imitate the look of dichroic glass. It is made by painting black clay with pearlescent ink - in this case an iridescent purple colour and then crackling it once dry. This very thin decorative sheet of clay is applied to a thick black layer of plain clay - like a veneer - and formed into a pendant.
After curing, the pendant is sanded to round the corners and the pattern is sealed in a layer of clear resin, to further enhance the glass-like look of the pendant. This layer too is sanded to a good gloss and varnished with clear acrylic to protect the surface further.
It has been glued to a silver plated Aanraku bail and hangs from a silver plated chain that fastens with a lobster clasp. The pendant is plain black on the reverse.
The pendant drops 44mm (>1¾") from the chain and is 21mm (0.8") wide. The silver plated cable chain will be made to order for you, so please specify your preferred size, up to 610mm (24") in length. 460mm (18") will be supplied by default if no alternative size is supplied.
