Copper flower and rope necklace with large set CZ stone

This is a striking looking one of a kind necklace featuring a central 'flower' style pendant, set within a rigid section of twisted copper wire rope. The copper clay pendant has been textured with my own mold formed on the bottom of a large fir cone and it features a gorgeously sparkly large Padparadscha coloured cubic zirconia stone set in a raised mount in the copper. Padparadscha is the colour of rare and beautiful sapphires from Sri Lanka and the word is derived from the name of a lotus blossom flower of this colour.
I absolutely love the geometry of fir cones and can never resist putting lovely examples in my pocket when out walking and this one had an especially nice flat bottom that I took a mold from. I think the pendant has the look of a Dahlia flower which has a similar geometry and which led me to choosing this vibrant stone to set it off.
The back of the pendant has a discreet and solid integral loop bail which allows it to sit proud of the rope section, but also move freely - the back is shown in one of the additional photographs. There is a hole behind the CZ stone allowing light through it for additional twinkle.
The pendant sits in the middle of a rigid curved section of hand crafted copper rope. The rope has been twisted and spiralled from two lengths of fine copper wire and terminates in two loops that connect to the heavy weight antiqued copper belcher / rollo chain, which closes with my own hand crafted hook and loop clasp.
The slightly domed flower pendant is around 26mm (1") in diameter. The central rope section is 140mm (5½") wide and the necklace overall is currently 505mm (19¾"). I would suggest that it would look best worn at collarbone length, so I have left it a little long to allow it to be adjusted for fit, so please let me have your required size during checkout.
What is copper clay:
Copper clay is a clay like medium made from tiny particles of copper, combined with an organic binder and made into a pliable clay or paste with water. After working with the clay-like medium to form the article, it is thoroughly dried to remove all of the water, the shape is further refined and then fired at high temperature to both burn off the binders and to cause the copper particles to fuse together as solid metal.
