Copper double hammered ring pendant on belcher chain

This antiqued copper pendant features two different hammered rings, bound together with a wrapped bail of heavy gauge copper and hanging from a matching chain.

The outer ring of the pendant has been hammered and left with a light faceted texture and is accompanied by a smaller ring featuring a twisted knot shape reminiscent of Celtic knot designs. The two rings are each soldered closed, but not to each other - they are instead bound firmly together with a wrapped bail of heavy copper wire, which has been formed into a double loop in one continuous piece.

The ends of the bail wrap wires terminate on the back and have been ground down to give a smooth, safe finish to the touch, which won't snag on clothing. The entire pendant has been antiqued, by oxidising to black, then polishing back to the warm tones you see, which enhances the texture.

The pendant comes on an antiqued copper belcher / rollo chain which closes with a hand crafted hook and loop clasp and can be made to the length you require - the chain shown in the photos is a stock one, but yours can be made the length you require up to 600mm (24") - larger for a small additional fee.

The pendant drops 54mm (2.1") overall from the bail and is 46mm (1.8") in diameter. The inner diameter of the bail is a generous 6mm (¼") which will allow it to be worn on different chains or cords to change the look.
