Necklace featuring dark clusters of molten copper

This entirely hand crafted necklace features a pendant of solid copper, wrapped generously with molten blobs of copper, heavily oxidised and polished to a gorgeous dark glossy warm gunmetal colour.

The pendant features almost 50 molten blobs of copper which are loosely looped onto a heavy gauge wrapped loop, which hangs from a heavily oxidised cable chain.

There are several stages and processes to making this pendant from melting the copper, cleaning and polishing, through forming the pendant, oxidising and more tumble polishing to bring out a glossy shine, making it quite labour intensive, which is reflected in the price.

The molten balls, which look like little black olives or tiny grapes will move and jiggle about with you. The pendant hangs 43m (1.7") overall from the chain and is 32mm (1.3") wide.

Chain, length made to order:

The pendant comes with an antiqued copper chain which closes with my own hand crafted hook and loop clasp, finished to match the chain.  The chain will be made for you to order when you advise me of the finished length that you'd like it, up to 550mm (22") - if you'd like longer than 22", please add the 'Copper chain - extra length supplement' as in the Related Products below to your basket too - and don't forget to tell me what finished length that you'd like.
