Mixed metal square charm and loop earrings

Mixed metal earrings featuring hand crafted square charms hung on bronze loop earwires. 

These hand crafted charms have been made by embossing one metal into another - in this case, bright peachy copper has been inlaid into a brand new material called Snow Bronze.  The Snow Bronze is supposed to be a white metal, but I've found that with my kiln and firing schedule, I'm getting a lovely Champagne coloured metal, which I like rather better. 

The charms feature a random squiggle of copper pressed into the lighter coloured bronze and then they have been textured with a wave pattern.  During firing, the charms have developed a slightly curled and irregular shape due to the different shrinkage rates of the metal.

The roughly square charms hang on polished bronze looped earwires which have been lightly hammered for shape and strength.  The earrings hang 39mm (1½") overall from the top of the earwire loops and the charms are approximately 21mm (0.8") at their widest.  The loops are 21mm (0.83") in diameter.

These earrings are likely to remain one of a kind and you will get the earrings shown in the photographs.
