Hammered and antiqued copper paddles necklace

Antiqued copper necklace featuring a central section of hammered paddles set into a copper belcher chain.

The central section of this necklace features over 20 individually hammered and shaped paddles of solid copper. After hammering, the edges are sanded and polished smooth to ensure comfort in wear and they are wrapped loosely to a central bar set into the antiqued copper belcher/rollo chain. The structure allows them to move freely and they will catch the light as you move.

The necklace has been antiqued to bring out the warm tone of a treasured copper heirloom. The chain is currently 475mm (18½") long, but I think it would look best worn around the collar bone, so I am happy to shorten the chain to your requirements, I left it long as I just used an already cut length of chain. The chain fastens with one of my own hand crafted hook and loop clasps.

The paddle section drops 35mm (1.4") overall and is 35mm (1.4") wide within the chain.

The necklace shown has now sold, but I'd be happy to make the design again to order.
