Antiqued copper spiralled rope and amethyst necklace

Antiqued copper necklace showcasing 3 large faceted amethysts of a fabulous vivid purple colour, each separated by a length of tightly coiled spiral rope, hand crafted from fine copper wire.

The central feature curve of this antique copper necklace joins to a length of curb chain which fastens with my own hand crafted hook and loop clasp. This necklace is entirely hand crafted, I made everything myself other than the beads and the chain section. Each amethyst is shouldered by chunky copper rings to seat the rope sections.

There are many feet of wire tightly hand spiralled in the rope sections, giving the necklace a nice substantial weight in wear. The necklace has been antiqued to enhance the texture of the spiral rope sections.

At present the necklace measures 560mm (22") overall and I would suggest that it be shortened to taste to fit around the collar bone, I've left it deliberately long to allow me to finish it to your requirements, so please do let me have the size that you'd like it.

The necklace measures 12mm (½") at it's widest; the diameter of the faceted amethysts and the central feature section measures 95mm (3¾") straight across its width.

This necklace (and the matching earrings) have been sold and unlikely to be re-made as a stock item, but they could be made again to order.  The same design could also be made with alternative stones or beads.
