Thanks Cynthia – we do enjoy this particular place very often as it has everything we need and is a nice trip there too – as you say, it’s as much about the journey. If you see my previous post that particular tract of woodland is half a mile from the door (and the very end tip of it runs right outside my window too), so that’s on my lunchtime walk route – so I consider myself pretty lucky – I can’t conceive of life without trees close at hand.

Loved following along with you on your walk through the woods. How fortunate to have such a lovely place fairly close by. When I lived in Colorado (now in Florida) on hikes I would stop frequently to admire the wildflowers. It’s more about enjoying the journey than reaching the destination, isn’t it? Love especially the photo of the young pine tree and the story about the sheep. And the copper components are spectacular.
