Corr shucks, thanks ladies. Sorry to hear about the camera Eve – my computer has died recently too, so I know the feeling – it’s the inconvenience as much as the expense.

This is the only method I’ve tried, I like the idea of using domestic kitchen equipment and it being relatively safe. I think the etch time is about the same, all of these I’ve done were etched for 45 minutes – I do it in 15 minute sessions and clean it and continue.

I just started to etch pieces aswell, i love it, but i have been doing the edinburgh etch, but might try this method, as it will work out cheaper and not much chemicals used, i have a few photo still to take of my pieces but my camera has died on me and it’s nearly £200 to fix.

I always love reading your blog boo, as you write so well.

And of course you photos are wonderful.

What an interesting process. I'd done some etching for making prints year ago so it was really good to read of your etching here.

And the results are lovely. So I am looking forward to seeing what you make next.
