Antiqued copper long teardrop loop earrings

Entirely hand crafted earrings featuring a teardrop loop of solid antiqued copper.

Each earring features a long drop teardrop shaped loop formed and soldered from a heavy gauge of copper wire. The drop has been lightly hammered and the edges polished round and then they have been fully oxidised. Once black, they were extensively tumble polished to give the oxidised copper a lovely gunmetal sheen and the edges polished off slightly to bring out warm copper highlights.

The drops hang from my own straight-fronted half drop earwires of which the ends have been rounded for your comfort. The earrings hang 57mm (2¼") overall from the top of the earwires and are 12mm (½") at their widest.
