Antiqued copper and green Byzantine bracelet

Entirely hand made chainmaille and semi-precious gemstone bracelet. 

The bracelet is made from links of Byzantine chainmaille in a heavy gauge of copper wire, linked together with fully secure wrapped loops of a green semi-precious gemstone which I think may be moss agate, in a lovely dark bottle green colour.

Each of the rings making the bracelet have been hand coiled and cut by me and formed into units of the Byzantine weave.  The bracelet closes with a hand formed hook and ring fastening, which is easy to fasten one-handed.

The finished bracelet has been antiqued.  I oxidise the copper, then partially polish it off on the proud surfaces, to give it the patina of a well worn and loved piece.  Copper will gradually darken over time, but you can polish it to the colour required if you prefer.

The fit of the bracelet is 165mm (6½") and the average diameter is around 8mm (0.3").    Please see the 'How to Order' page or bracelet introduction for more information on bracelet fit and measuring your wrist.  Unfortunately, this design can't really be adjusted for size, but a new one could be made if you needed a different size.
